COMBE (LONG) , a parish in the hundred of WOOTTON, county of OXFORD, 5 miles (W. by S.) from Woodstock, containing 564 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the perculiar jurisdiction and patronage of the Rector and Fellows of Lincoln College, Oxford. The church is dedicated to St. Lawrence.
