Charlton on Otmoor, Oxfordshire

CHARLTON upon OTMORE, a parish in the hundred of PLOUGHLEY, county of OXFORD, 5¾ miles (S.S.W.) from Bicester, containing, with the hamlet of Fencot with Murcot, 581 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford, rated in the king's books at £21. 9. 4½., and in the patronage of the Provost and Fellows of Queen's College, Oxford. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
